About the job
As the Sector Manager of the rail electrification systems, you will be responsible for developing and operating the department that maintains the systems related to the Power Supply and Traction Power Supply of the light rail in Copenhagen. Today, the department consists of 6 technicians. When the light rail is in operation, the department will consist of 1 leading technician and about 9 technicians. It will be your job to have the overall responsibility for the planned and unplanned maintenance of the traction power system, to ensure, and provide guidance and direction for the daily routine and non-routine work for maintenance staff, based on maintenance work, orders/requests, and emergency priorities from sites.

You will be responsible for:
The overall maintenance within the electrical department

• Managing all safety-related aspects within the Rail Electrification department
• Prepare and follow up on department budget
• Establish contact with sub-suppliers, and ensure quality control of deliveries 
• Ensure that the purchase of railway services and equipment is compliant with company requirements
• Resolving technical/design issues in field
• Pro-acting to minimize concerns from residents/groups on maintenance activities, and troubleshooting/following up on complaints, including arranging remedial action where necessary  
• Managing all aspects of asset growth, rehabilitation, maintenance, and replacement projects
• Preparing reports, recommendations and providing other necessary correspondence for the employer
• Act as Deputy Operational Manager

You will also assist the ongoing development and maintenance of rail electrification databases and coordinate technical data information gathering. Further, you will assist in the development of rail electrification system inspections and evaluations, including the review and updating of asset management files and as-built drawings.
The department is newly established. Hence you will have a great opportunity to set up your team, the processes and work culture. The position is part of the Railway Safety organisation.

We expect that you have:

• A background in the electrical field either as an authorized electrician or a university degree in electrical engineering
• Authorization to work on facilities requiring a KLS-A authorization, preferably a KLS-D authorization
• Proven work experience in the field of Maintenance
• An understanding of safety procedures
• Proficiency in both Danish and English (written and spoken)
• Can present a criminal record

It is beneficial if you have experience as a manager, with an emphasis on rail electrification design and construction, as well as experience working with various stakeholders.
