About the job
As our HSE Manager, you will lead our health, safety, and environmental efforts, driving best practices, ensuring compliance, and fostering a culture of safety and sustainability. You will work with skilled colleagues to improve processes, strengthen systems, and deliver practical solutions that support the safety of our people and the environment.

 

As HSE Manager, you will oversee the department’s daily operations, ensuring clear direction, effective coordination, and active team engagement. It will be your responsibility to:

  • manage, develop and mentor HSE staff to ensure that effective support and advice is given to all parts of the business
  • set out an audit program to capture all HSE processes/procedures and supporting documentation to meet the requirements of the management systems
  • propose, implement and monitor measures necessary to comply with HSE standards and legislations 
  • establish strategic processes that will deliver corporate objectives regarding HSE activities/management/system improvements
  • promote best HSE practice throughout the organisation
  • assist in compliance reviews, general risk assessments and other safety assessment activities to support HSE management systems 
  • make periodic reporting on the efficiency of the systems and the use of same, with recommendations for their enhancement and improvement
  • plan together with colleagues for future certification in relation to ISO 45001:2024 and continuously improve the EMS to retain the ISO 14001 certificate. 

 

We expect that you

  • are a qualified engineer or have similar theoretical education in the relevant field, possibly supplemented with project management training
  • are familiar with relevant Danish Legislation and have a good working knowledge of relevant standards in HSE
  • have minimum 5 years of management experience 
  • maintain positive and proactive relations with managers and employees, as well as our customers and authorities
  • have relevant professional experience from a similar position, preferably within the rail industry
  • have a Lead Auditor certification and experience is desirable
  • master Danish and English at negotiation level.
