Join our team as Sector Manager of the Rolling Stock department for the Copenhagen Metro

As a Sector Manager for Rolling Stock, you will lead a dedicated team responsible for maintaining the Metro trains, ensuring smooth and safe metro operations for thousands of passengers every day.

About the role

As a Sector Manager for Rolling Stock at Metro Service, you will supervise and align the tasks of our rolling stock teams in the maintenance department, working closely with first-line managers. You will also manage and coordinate the team’s efforts to ensure efficient operations.

Furthermore, you will be responsible for:

• Providing daily management with a focus on visible and motivating leadership
• Enhancing the competencies of the department
• Ensuring professional expertise among employees

Your tasks will also include preparing and following up on budgets in consultation with the Maintenance Manager, overseeing the scheduling of both planned and unplanned maintenance activities. Additionally, you will manage subcontractor relationships, ensure quality control of their deliveries, and actively participate in following up on reported incidents and deviation reports.

Your qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with a technical background with supplemental financial or project management training. It will be beneficial if you have a minimum of 5 years of management at an academic level, and relevant professional experience in a similar position. 

We also emphasize and value your personality and expect that you have:

• Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong proactively skills regarding technical and leadership challenges
• Strong organizational skills to ensure proper work planning
• The ability to expedite issues to promote effectiveness and efficiency

We are looking for a candidate that is proficient in Danish and manage English at a negotiation level. It is a plus if you have experience using SAP.
